BP has further expanded its gas reserves offshore Africa with an agreement worth almost $1bn for a 62% operating stake in Kosmos Energy’s licences offshore Mauritania and Senegal. The deal puts the planned Tortue gas development on a firm footing and the companies will also work together in further exploration.
