Aart Mulder, Manager Energy Project Finance, FMO
Aart is responsible for a team of 13 professionals dedicated to investments in the energy sector in Africa. Prior to joining FMO, Aart worked in financial controlling and banking at several large organisations, including Royal Boskalis Westminster and ABN AMRO Bank. Notable is his 17 years’ experience in commercial and development banking.
His professional interests focus on structuring debt and mezzanine transactions. Current activities include strategic projects on providing access to energy and avoiding green house gasses. In addition he is an investment committee member of the Interact Climate Change Facility, an initiative from European DFI’s providing finance to renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in development countries and emerging markets.
Aart received a Masters in business economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1994.
