Akinwole Omoboriowo II, Chief Executive Officer, Genesis Energy
Akinwole has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas and power sectors in Africa. His management work-profile includes being the Chairman and CEO of Genesis Energy Group, Chairman and CEO of Genesis Electricity Limited, Chairman of GEL Utility (co- sponsored by General Electric and Engro Corp), and a member of the advisory board of The Global Thinkers Forum. He served as Chairman of Bissau Electricidade de Agua (Guinea Bissau), and founding Managing Director of Besse-Oil & Services, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) and the Certified Board of Administrators of Nigeria (CBAN).
Akinwole is a 1993 graduate of economics from University of Jos, alumni of the London Business School, where he acquired specialist training in electricity pricing and modelling (2006), and obtained a 2011 post-graduate diploma in strategy and innovation from Oxford University’s SAID Business School.
