Since 2011, Andrew has pursued a ‘portfolio’ career in renewable energy and private equity investment, in Africa and Asia. Today, he serves on the investment committees of Berkeley Energy, Catalyst Principal Partners and Energy Access Ventures Fund.

He is a Director of WWF Kenya and a member of the judging panel for the International Ashden Awards for Sustainability.

With his wife Hilary, he now manages a personal portfolio of business angel investments in 14 early-stage energy access and rural agricultural productivity companies in Africa.

He was previously CEO of Globeleq (2007-2009), partner at Actis (2004-2007), and Executive Director, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Infrastructure at CDC (2000-2004).

Earlier in his career he held senior positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, Botts & Company and Citibank.
