Claudio Steuer is the founder of SyEnergy, an energy consultancy focused on strategy, commercial, business and project development of natural gas, LNG supply, FLNG & FSRU development, and power generation.
Claudio has over 30 years of international energy experience in senior positions responsible for strategy, gas master planning, business development, commercialization, and venture governance aspects of complex and capital intensive natural gas, LNG, FLNG, Marine CNG, and coal gasification projects with Shell, ENI S.p.A., Nigeria LNG, New African Global Energy, Saipem, Centrica, Gas Strategies and consulting clients.
Claudio has worked and advised on energy projects located in Angola, Australia, Brazil, Cameroon, Caribbean Islands, Congo, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mozambique, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Trinidad Tobago, South Africa, United States and Venezuela involving chemicals, upstream gas, LNG, Marine CNG, FLNG, FSRU, LPG, gas distribution, clean coal, and gas to liquids.
Claudio has earned a BS in Computer Science and Marketing from Boston College, an MBA in International Business from Babson College, and specialized courses from Harvard Law and Lax Sebenius/Harvard Business School, International Human Resources Development Corporation, and The Institute of Directors.
He has published articles and interviews with ICIS Heren Global LNG, Interfax Gas Daily, Bloomberg, Gas Matters, LNG Business Review, Maritime Executive and TN-Petroleo.
