David runs and is responsible for all Quantum Power’s business and project development activities operations in East Africa, where the company is currently developing geothermal, wind and peat fired assets. For the last eight years he has been based in Nairobi and has built up extensive experience in the development, contracting, financing and execution of IPPs in Africa.
Earlier in his career, David worked for 16 years in a nuclear facility in the UK where he developed as a highly multi‐disciplined engineer with a practical ‘hands on’ background. He has first-hand experience with equipment such as steam turbines, medium speed engines, all types of control and process equipment, high speed rotating and static mechanical plant.
David has a First Class B.Eng degree in mechanical engineering and numerous vocational qualifications in control and instrumentation and electrical disciplines.
David is a panellist at the fourth annual Africa Investment Exchange: Power & Renewables meeting, which will be held in London on 15-16 November.
