Joseph is the Global Co-chair of DLA Piper’s Energy Sector Practice, US Chair of Projects and Infrastructure and a partner in the firm’s New York office.
For more than 20 years, he has represented independent power producers, equity investors, project sponsors, financial institutions and governments in the development and financing of power, oil and gas, LNG, water and wastewater, telecommunications, waste management and other infrastructure projects throughout Africa.
He also represents sponsors and financial institutions in the acquisition, development, financing and disposition of energy and power projects in Africa. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Joseph was the chair of the Africa practice for another major international law firm. Chambers Global recognizes him for his projects and energy practice in Africa.
