Rachelle has been involved in structuring and arranging complex first-in-kind transactions that have shaped the landscape of project finance in West Africa. With over 18 years of project and corporate finance experience in emerging markets, her experience covers both project development and the raising and deployment of capital across key infrastructure sectors in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and South-East Asia.

Rachel began her career as a Business Developer at AES Corporation, a global energy company active in the development and construction of power generation and distribution plants. She subsequently joined the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, where she implemented projects in the power and ICT sectors in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa.

Rachelle is currently at Rand Merchant Bank, South Africa’s leading investment bank, where she spearheads the development of the bank’s infrastructure investment services platform across West Africa.
