In his current role as Manager Syndications he leads both the loan syndication & sales team and the agency team of FMO, The Dutch Development Bank. Ruhi is responsible for developing and implementation of FMO’s global syndication strategy and managing all agency aspects of FMO’s syndicated loans.
Ruhi Cosgun has been with FMO for more than 10 years. In his previous roles at FMO he was senior investment officer and worked at the Europe and Central Asia Department and Financial Institutions Departments of FMO. During his FMO career he has become an all-round (development) banker with experience in the fields of structured finance, project finance and corporate finance. Furthermore, he has actively been involved in the development of FMO’s Environmental, Social and Governance policies and guidelines.
Prior to joining FMO, Ruhi has gathered more than 10 years of experience in commercial banking in the Netherlands (ING and DHB bank), the UK and emerging markets. He has been employed in different fields of Investment Banking, Retail Banking and Risk Management. Ruhi holds a Master in (Monetary and Financial) economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands
