Hanaan is an advisor to CDC’s equity infrastructure team on the African power sector and a Visiting Research Fellow at the London School of Economics. At CDC she is leading the strategy to invest in African electricity transmission and distribution investments, including utility concessions and distributed power. Prior to CDC, she was part of the African power group at the private equity fund Actis Energy. Before that she was a generalist investor in public and private equity at the New York-based $7bn fund Blue Ridge Capital. She has also been a board member of Eneo, the national electricity utility of Cameroon.
