Marcus is the founder of Abuja and London-based Pan Africa Solar, which is focused on developing and investing in a 500MW pipeline of utility scale solar projects in Nigeria. Pan Africa Solar has obtained a generation licence, signed a PPA and hopes to reach financial close in Q2 2018 for a 75MW solar project in Katsina State that is expected to deliver electricity to more than 1 million Nigerians.
Marcus has gained unparalleled experience in developing a solar business where none existed and then developing bankable utility scale projects in Africa’s largest and most challenging country. He helped create pioneering documentation for a solar project in Nigeria and then negotiated with the State stakeholders to adopt them. His experience in Nigeria includes land acquisition, permitting, and sourcing and securing international project finance, equity and credit enhancements.
