Based in Brussels, Michael co-ordinates the Africa-EU Renewable Energy Co-operation Programme (RECP), a European platform for promoting private sector participation and investment in renewables in Africa.
Over the past 10 years his work and interests have evolved around the nexus of energy project development, policy frameworks, and financing, towards mobilizing private and public investment in renewable energy and energy access projects in Africa
He holds an MA degree in political science and geography from University of Trier, Germany. In previous functions, he worked for GIZ on a number of energy initiatives in East Africa.
