Do tenders really deliver the best results when it comes to procuring renewable energy IPPs in Africa?
An interesting and frank conversation offering different perspectives on competitive tendering took place at the AIX Online meeting in December 2020.
We are pleased to provide a free recording of the panel discussion between Tomas Adcock at International Finance Corporation (IFC); Osaruyi Orobosa-Ogbeide at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC); Laura Kiwelu, at Norton Rose Fulbright; Josef Abramowitz at Gigawatt Global; Wikus Kruger at University of Cape Town; and Ryan Glenn Anderson at Multiconsult so that these ideas can be more widely discussed.
The AIX meeting is held under Chatham House rule, which means “Participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker, nor that of any other participant, may be revealed”.
