Ola is the Senior Partner and Head of the Energy and Infrastructure Team at Advocaat Law Practice. He studied at the University of Buckingham, UK, and holds a master’s degree in Natural Resources Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy Petroleum Mineral Law and Policy at the University of Dundee, UK. He has attended several continuing education courses such as The Law firm Partner as Leader at the Cambridge Judge Business School University of Cambridge, and Regulation of Gas Markets from the Florence School of Regulation, Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, European University Institute.
He is well versed in finance, oil, gas, electricity, and solid minerals law and has advised several exploration and production companies, oil service contractors, multinationals, independent power producers and high net worth clients on a wide range of assignments.
Ola has written several papers some of which include “Negotiating Take or Pay clauses in long term contracts in Nigeria”; “Co-joined twins- Consolidation in the Oil and Gas industry through Mergers and Acquisitions”; “Treasure Trove -Financing the solid minerals sector in Nigeria”; and “Contracting Issues Under the Emerging Electricity Supply Industry in Nigeria”.
