Edouard Wenseleers is Globeleq’s Managing Director, Business Development, Head of East Africa and is in charge of Globeleq’s activities in Kenya amongst others.
Overall, Edouard has focused on the IPP business in Africa over the last 13 years. He joined Globeleq in 2018 where he successfully led the company’s power project development and acquisition activities across the East African region, including the financial closing of the 52MWp Malindi Solar project (in 2019) and the 35MW Menengai geothermal project (in 2023) in Kenya.
Prior to joining Globeleq, Edouard worked for ENGIE over a span of 10 years, during which time he contributed to the successful development and financial closing of both the 300MW Tarfaya wind farm and the 1,386MW Safi thermal plant in Morocco and subsequently set up ENGIE’s development office in Nairobi, covering East Africa.
Edouard holds a MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and a MSc degree in Economics and Corporate Management from the IFP-School in Paris, France.
