Federico is Program Director at FEEM, Eni’s Research Foundation. He leads the research program on technologies for energy transition. Federico teaches energy and environmental economics at Bocconi University. In addition to his academic work, Federico is a member of the Senior Energy Advisory Program of the Tony Blair Institute funded by Power Africa, the U.S. government-led initiative to boost the development of the energy sector in the African Continent. In this role, Federico has been advising regional institutions and national governments on power sector reforms, international energy transactions and infrastructural investments.
His areas of expertise are energy and environmental markets, with a specific focus on economic regulation, market design and the enabling conditions for private sector involvement and public-private partnerships. Over the past fifteen years, he has advised governments and utilities on power sector reforms, tariff regulation and major international energy infrastructure projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Federico holds a double Ph.D. in Economics, one from Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, and one from Bocconi University.
