Damien is a civil engineer specialising in hydraulic construction. He has over 20 years experience in infrastructure and major engineering works, with nearly half this time spent in the renewable energy sector. He was Coordinator of the Grand Kasaï Pool before being nominated as Deputy Director General at ANSER.
In his professional career he has held posts at the Department of the Institute of Building and Public Works in Kinshasa, at the Ministry of Economy and a local construction company.
Damien is fluent in French, English, Russian, Lingala and Tshilubà, he has a MSc from Ukraine’s Odesa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture and trained in natural risk management at the University of Liège, Belgium.
He is the national coordinator of the Mouvement des jeunes pour l’entrepreneuriat stratégique (MOJES), an incubator for start-ups and SMEs focused for the youth.
