Richard is an accomplished engineer and physicist with a rich background spanning over two decades in global leadership, innovation, and business development within the realm of large-scale renewable energy and independent power production.

Prior to his tenure at Juwi, Richard played a pivotal role in pioneering power purchase agreements for independent power producers Avelar and Mulilo in South Africa. Throughout his career, he has occupied various executive and non-executive director roles, including positions at prominent organizations such as the South African Solar PV Association, Wits Enterprise, UJInVent, and the Council of the Tshwane University of Technology.

Richard’s academic background is equally impressive, with an MSc in Applied Science in Materials Engineering and a PhD in Physics.
