Derik is the co-founder of NOA Group and currently serves as the Head of Growth. Since the founding of NOA in 2022, Derik has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and expanding its footprint in the South African renewable energy market.

Derik has over a decade of experience in the energy industry. Prior to co-founding NOA, Derik was the co-founder of Energy Partners, a company focused on developing energy solutions for private sector C&I customers in South Africa. Derik has also held leadership roles at GreenCape and the South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI).

His earlier career includes strategy roles at Sanlam Private Investments, TACA, and Bain & Company.

Derik holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and is a CFA Charterholder.
