Gregory Kronsten’s career took him firstly to Zaire (DRC) for an international bank in the 1980s. He subsequently spent nine years at the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in London, latterly as regional director for Africa. His next move took him into the City as macro and debt analyst for Africa and the Middle East on the trading floors of WestLB and Commerzbank. In 2007 he joined Trusted Sources, the top-down macro house for emerging markets, as head of the Africa product. He has since been London-based head of economics for two Nigerian finance houses, CSL Stockbrokers (FCMB) and, since 2011, FBN Capital (the investment banking arm of FBN Holdings).
