Paul has more than 30 years of experience in power industries across the world. Prior to his appointment as Globeleq’s CEO, he founded and subsequently sold American Capital Energy & Infrastructure, a private equity group focused on global investments in energy infrastructure investments.
From 2002-2011, Paul served as the CEO of The AES Corporation, a 30,000-person global power company with assets in 30 countries. He currently sits on the boards of two publicly traded companies: Ingredion, Inc. (NYSE: INGR) and AquaVenture Holdings, Ltd. (NYSE: WAAS).
Prior to beginning his business career, Paul served as a line officer on a fast-attack nuclear submarine in the US Navy. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
