Andreas Lehner is co-founder and COO of TRINE, a crowdinvesting platform with the vision to eliminate energy poverty. He is driven to contribute in solving big societal and environmental challenges. Before founding TRINE, he worked as a Business Developer for Solar PV at Statkraft, Europe’s biggest renewable energy utility in Norway, and travelled through slums and rural areas in Kenya, seeing the big potential impact of solar energy in such regions. He always wanted to create his own path rather than to follow a traditional career, which led him to co-found TRINE, along with a small group of hard-working people. TRINE enables people to finance profitable solar energy projects for remote communities in emerging countries. Andreas holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Systems from Chalmers University of Technology and fluently speaks German, English and Swedish.
