David has worked for over thirty years in the fields of economic development, privatization, and investment in infrastructure, focusing mainly on Africa. He has been with IFC for 25 years, starting as an economist, and then in IFC’s PPP Advisory Services, for nearly a decade, based in DC and Johannesburg. Between 2008 and 2010 he worked as the Senior Manager for IFC’s Infrastructure investment programme in Africa, and in mid-2010 switched to heading IFC’s Infraventures project development business for Africa. He has worked, as team member, team leader, and manager, on many private-public partnerships and private investments in the infrastructure sector.
