Chris, along with his brother Simon, has pioneered the renewable energy industry in South Africa and has successfully built and led a number of successful business and non-profit entities. As the first chairperson of SAPVIA, Chris was instrumental in seeing it grow from 8 to 150 paying subscription member companies in three years. SAPVIA was pivotal in lobbying the state to initialise the procurement of renewable energy.

Aurora Power Solutions has been developing solar PV projects in Africa since 2008 and has been awarded 255MW of IPP projects, 100MW of which are operational.

SOLA Future Energy designs, constructs and operates PV and storage projects in Africa predominately for corporate private energy consumers and has 20MW track record including land-mark solar/storage projects such as the Robben Island microgrid project.

Chris is a panellist at the fourth annual Africa Investment Exchange: Power & Renewables meeting, which will be held in London on 15-16 November 2017.
