Maarten has over 20 years’ experience in power generation and energy services. He started at ENGIE Group in 2000 as an engineer responsible for operations and maintenance of combined heat and power installations.
Over the past 15 years Maarten has worked internationally – in countries including South Africa, India, Indonesia and Australia – with a track record of developing large-scale and complex power generation projects in emerging markets.
His experiences range from greenfield projects and asset optimisation, through to M&A and energy services activities. He is currently ENGIE’s head of business development for investments in power and gas projects across Africa.
ENGIE has development offices in Casablanca, Abidjan, Nairobi and Johannesburg.
