Jasandra Nyker is a distinguished investment executive with over two decades of experience in private equity, venture capital, and energy transition and climate technology investing and business building. She has managed and deployed over $1 billion in capital across clean energy projects and energy transition companies in the US, Europe, Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia.
She is currently the managing partner of Saja Climate Partners, a recently established responsible, renewable and regenerative investment and advisory firm focussed on high growth markets in the EU and Global South.
Most recently, she was the inaugural CEO of Nala Renewables Limited. Jasandra led the business from start-up to scale-up to an institutional platform by expanding the asset pipeline to over 3GW across 12 countries comprising of solar, energy storage, and wind projects. Within Nala, she led the creation of a C&I platform dedicated to the South East Asian Market.
Previously, she was the Managing Director at Denham Capital Management, focussed on their Sustainable Infrastructure Fund where she oversaw and led investments in Chile, across Africa and South-east Asia. She also served as CEO of BioTherm Energy, a Denham portfolio company where she led its turnaround by driving a well-executed greenfield development and acquisition strategy that led to two successful exits for its shareholders.
Jasandra’s extensive experience includes investment roles at PCG Asset Management, Lehman Brothers, and Brait Private Equity complemented by her strategy consulting experience at Booz Allen Hamilton. She is a 2012 World Economic Forum (WEF) Young Global Leader.
