Elvira was appointed director of FMO’s energy department in December 2014. She started her career at FMO in 2007 as an investment officer in the Europe and Central Asia division, focusing on corporate clients and financial institutions.
In 2010, Elvira was appointed manager of the credit analysis team and chairwoman of FMO’s investment committee. In 2013 she became manager of the energy team, responsible for transactions in Latin America and South and East Africa.
Prior to joining FMO, Elvira worked for the IMF as a senior advisor to the governments of the Balkan and CIS countries. She also spent five years at the Ministry of Finance in the Netherlands.
Elvira graduated as an economist from Tilburg University, Netherlands in 1999.
