Professor May Tan-Mullins is an expert on China as a rising power, with research interest in China and Africa relations, political ecology of rising China, environmental and energy justice and poverty alleviation for the poorest and most vulnerable.
She is a consultant for the Chinese government, UNDP Beijing and National Bureau of Asian Research (US). She was also the recipient of the prestigious Vice-Chancellor medal (2017) and global Rockefeller Bellagio writing residency in Bellagio Centre, Lake Como in Italy (2014).
May is a panellist at the fourth annual Africa Investment Exchange: Power & Renewables meeting, which will be held in London on 15-16 November 2017.
