Nemes joined EWURA in December 2014 having previously worked for 20 years with Tanzania Electricity Supply Company Limited (Tanesco). He has vast experience in power distribution systems and is also experienced in the technical regulation of the electricity sector.

Nemes has attended various international utilities regulatory courses and is a graduate in electrical engineering from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania (1994).  He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in power distribution systems from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim and a MBA from the Open University of Tanzania.

Nemes is a panellist in the online Africa Investment Exchange: Power & Renewables meetings.
