Elijah has over five years’ experience in climate finance. Prior to joining SUNREF East Africa, an Agence Française de Développement (AFD) programme with the mandate of providing cheap and long-term financing through partner banks and technical assistance to green projects in East Africa, he worked at Carbon Africa Ltd as a project officer. In this role, he foresaw the maturation of green projects – both renewable energy and energy efficiency – in Sub Sub-Saharan region from early stage to registration under various carbon markets including the UN’s Clean Development Mechanism, and the Gold Standard for sustainable development.
