Richard founded Support Green Communities to consult and develop competences in the developing world for power and telecommunication initiatives. He has over 25 years of experience in pioneering industries focused on telecoms and clean energy. He has held senior operations and lead roles in various organisations from Head of Global Strategic Planning at Nokia to operations and senior leadership roles at a start-up clean energy companies such as ZeroBase Energy and Cambridge Clean Energy. He was also head of business development for EMEA at Fluidic Energy.
Richard is drawn to developing regions. He has lived in Uganda and Ghana and worked with micro-grids in India, Haiti, and various countries in Africa – most recently in Madagascar where he launched the rural, renewable energy 100 Villages project for Henri Fraise, the local Caterpillar dealer.
Richard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering and a Chartership with the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE).
