Mariana manages the data strategy and work that drives GOGLA’s partnerships and market support programmes, bringing in a broad understanding and skill set in the off-grid solar sector.
Prior to joining GOGLA at the end of 2018, Mariana worked as a consultant and project manager for organisations scaling up decentralised clean energy solutions in emerging and transitional economies. Mariana’s work focused on business development; partnership and project management; methodology, design, innovation and climate-related advisory; and training and capacity building. She has worked extensively with international and local financial institutions, off-grid clean technology providers, project developers, academia, and donors active in Eastern Africa, SE and Central Asia, and Eastern Europe.
Mariana is a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance (Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre). She has an MSc in Carbon Management (University of Edinburgh), and a double Bachelors in International Business (CEU Business School and Universita Bocconi). She is also a member of the Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy (ELEEP) network of the Atlantic Council.
