Mathilde has 15 years’ experience in development finance in the energy industry. She joined AFD in 2005 where she managed power projects with state owned utilities notably in Africa. In 2015 she joined AFD private subsidiary, Proparco. She now heads the energy division of AFD, with a team of 23 energy sector specialists active in 80 countries. She holds two engineering degrees from Ecole Centrale Paris and Ecole Nationale du Génie Rural, des Eaux et des Forêts (ENGREF).
