Cassandra is a professional accountant and experienced project manager with particular expertise in the African power sector. She has spent her career with Manitoba Hydro International (MHI), holding a variety of roles in finance and accounting, project management, and business development. She currently holds the position of Senior Energy Advisor and Project Manager with the USAID Power Africa Nigeria Power Sector Program (NPSP). In this role, she leads a team of technical experts, and is responsible for working with the distribution companies of Nigeria to improve sector liquidity and overall technical and commercial performance. Prior to this project, as the Director of Business Development and Marketing, Cassandra managed key client relationships and business development on a global scale for MHI, with a particular focus on Africa.
Cassandra is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada and holds a Masters in Finance and Economic Policy from the University of London. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) with the University of Manitoba.
