Ameet has considerable experience in executing and implementing solar IPP and C&I projects in multiple emerging countries. He works with Astonfield Solar’s financial, technical and client team to ensure profitability and implementation of each solar project.

Under Ameet’s leadership, Astonfield Solar has formed important partnerships with leading solar suppliers, both locally and internationally, to deliver world class and bankable solar solutions to the Sub-Saharan region with levelized costs of energy between $0.03-0.07/kWh. He has been instrumental in driving the growth of the commercial and industrial solar sector, with Astonfield’s delivery platform offering a turnkey solution covering the entire spectrum of technical consultancy, EPC services and project finance advisory services.

Ameet has developed Astonfield’s business across five  countries and has formed unique partnerships with and leading corporates to pave the way for the deployment of commercially viable solar power solutions in Sub Saharan Africa with over 55 installations commissioned by Q1 2020.

Ameet is an Economics graduate of Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge. He completed the Stanford GSB SEED program in 2019.  In the period 2012-14, he was nominated to be a member of the US Department of Commerce’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee.
