Ameet has considerable experience in executing and implementing solar projects in multiple emerging countries. He works with Astonfield Solar’s financial, technical and government partners to ensure profitability and implementation of each solar project.

Under Ameet’s leadership, Astonfield Solar has formed important partnerships with leading solar suppliers, both locally and internationally, to deliver world class and bankable solar solutions to the Sub-Saharan region with levelised costs of energy between $0.04-0.08/kWh. He has been instrumental in driving the growth of the commercial and industrial solar sector in Kenya, with Astonfield’s delivery platform offering a turnkey solution covering the entire spectrum of technical consultancy, EPC services and project finance advisory services.

Ameet has developed Astonfield’s business across five countries and has formed unique partnerships with Bahwan Group of Oman, Alteo Group of Mauritius, and other leading corporates to pave the way for the deployment of commercially viable solar power solutions in early stage markets adopting solar such as East Africa and the Middle East.

Ameet is an Economics graduate of Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge. Since December 2012, he has been a member of the US Department of Commerce’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee.
