Andres joined BP in 2005 working in oil supply and trading for Latin America, based in Chicago. He moved to London in 2007 to work in upstream business development for Russia and Central Asia and in 2009 he went on to lead business development for gas supply and trading in Southern Europe.

Before taking up his current position in 2016, Andres worked for BP in South America. He moved to Rio de Janeiro in 2012 where he led upstream business development for the region and later expanded his role when he became country manager for Uruguay, where BP was running an exploration campaign.

Andres has a degree (Cum Laude) in production engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas and an MBA from the University of Chicago (2005) with concentrations in finance and economics.
