Bertrand leads InfraCo Africa’s co-development practice, bringing a deep knowledge of renewables development to the team as well as overseeing InfraCo Africa’s increased involvement in water initiatives. Bertrand joined InfraCo Africa from Solar Century, where he was an International Business Development Director responsible for solar projects (from development through to EPC) across Africa and Latin America. Coupled with his time as a Project Director at AES Corp, Bertrand provides experienced oversight to InfraCo Africa’s projects from their origination through to Financial Close and beyond. Bertrand’s passion for developing infrastructure in Africa stems from his time at the African Development Bank where he worked as Renewables Investment Officer and prior to this, his experiences at BiWater where he was accountable for raising finance for potable water and/or sewerage concessions on the African continent. Bertrand initially studied Economics before completing an MBA and becoming ACCA qualified.
Bertrand is a panellist at Africa Investment Exchange: Nairobi, on 3-4 October 2018.
