Christian is the founder of Orion Infrastructure Advisors, a bespoke advisory group helping various stakeholders navigate the increasingly challenging African power sector.

He has over 27 years developing, project financing and operating power over 1GW of IPP projects across Africa, which have included the formation and running of an IPP company, origination of opportunities, the negotiation of contracts with utilities and their governments, reviewing financial analysis, driving sector reform, negotiating EPC, operations & maintenance, and related contracts, arranging equity and debt from funds, commercial banks and development finance institutions, and supporting operations through strategy, communications and restructuring.

Before forming Orion, Christian was a Partner at Blue Capital Management Partners, whom he still advises and prior to that the CEO of Elsewedy Energy.  He has also held senior roles in Globeleq, Aldwych International (now Anergi), and AES where he developed and brought to financial close gas, wind, solar, and hydro IPP projects in Africa. He is currently serving on the Board of CrossBoundary Energy and on the Investment Committee of Serengeti Energy.
