Christian joined Globeleq in 2016 and has spent the over 20 years focused on developing and operating power projects on the continent. He spent 10 years with Aldwych International developing power projects in Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Botswana, and Nigeria, including the financing of the €624m, 310MW Lake Turkana Wind Project in northern Kenya.
From 1997 to 2002, Christian was the country director for the Bujagali Hydro development project in Uganda for AES. He then became a director for Cameroon’s integrated utility, AES Sonel, after which he spent three years heading up strategy for AES, covering Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Christian holds a BA in Economics and Politics from Mary Washington University and an MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge University where he focused on East Africa’s foreign investment climate.
