Erick earned his bachelor degree in electrical engineering from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania in 2004. From 2005 to 2017 he worked with the Ministry of Energy in Tanzania as an Energy Engineer. He completed a master’s degree in engineering specialized in technology management, economics and policy from Seoul National University, South Korea in 2013.

In September 2013, Erick published an article in “Geosystem Engineering” examining electricity access policy in African countries, with particular focus on Tanzania. Furthermore, he has presented several papers related to energy development at seminars and conferences.

Since 2017, he has worked as Principal Engineer, responsible for electricity generation, at the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA).
