Fred is Managing Director of ECA advising on commercial, regulatory and policy issues in the energy sector. He is an experienced power market economist leading ECA’s Markets and Commercial service line. Fred currently advises on investment strategies for generation and storage assets, market and regulatory risks for energy investments and power and gas market design and sector reform in Africa and around the world.

Recent clients include power generators, governments, energy regulators and international finance institutions. With over 10 years experience in electricity and gas sectors, Fred has worked extensively in African power sectors including Ghana, Kenya, Namibia and South Africa. Fred holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, UK.
