Gabriele graduated in mechanical engineering at the University of Pisa (Italy) and has over 15 years of experience in commercial roles with major companies in the energy sector.

In 2005 he joined Ansaldo Energia to manage the sales and local operations in various areas in Middle East, North Africa and Europe. He moved to renewable energies in 2013 by joining GE Renewables as head of their commercial operations for geothermal and CSP projects in Africa. In 2018 he joined Wärtsilä and is currently in charge of business development for energy storage and optimisation for Africa and Middle East.
