Isabel’s experience in renewable energies started at APREN, the Portuguese Renewable Energy Association, where she was director of the technical department. She later worked as policy adviser at the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC).
Taking advantage of her national and international experience, Isabel went on to found ALER, the Lusophone Renewable Energy Association. She has also acted as a volunteer in Niassa, Mozambique and did an internship at Grameen Shakti, Bangladesh, to learn about their microcredit and solar home systems programme.
Isabel is an Environmental Engineer with an Executive Masters in Sustainable Energy Systems.
