Jonathan heads up the hydrogen business unit for PwC in Southern Africa. His role forms part of PwC’s larger Energy, Utilities and Resources team, working with both the local and global teams to assist clients with exploring opportunities along the hydrogen value chain. He has extensive knowledge of the South African mining sector, in particular the primary mining and beneficiation of platinum group metals. More recently, his focus has been on designing solutions in the renewable energy field, with a particular focus on the development of South Africa’s hydrogen economy. His core focus is to position Southern Africa as a sustainable global energy player of the future. Jonathan has a technical background in economics and finance, specialising in covariance matrix mathematics and risk modelling.
