Karl is a serial entrepreneur, focused on sub-Saharan Africa, having spent the last 18 years, driving the shift to clean energy across a range of businesses in Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and South Africa.

Prior to this, Karl was an Investment Manager with Investec and Risk Director for FTSE-100 company, Vodafone. Since founding ARC Power, Karl has led the company’s strategic development, negotiated government and partner contracts, and managed capital raising efforts. As Founder of ARC Power, his personal mission is to tackle energy access in sub-Saharan Africa by delivering affordable, reliable and clean power at scale.
