Fatima Arthur serves on EDM’s board as Executive Director for People and Corporate Services. Prior to her current positon, she was from 2012 to 2016 Director for Corporate Performance Management with responsibility for information flows and processing, statistical reporting, corporate annual activity planning, strategic planning and studies, and research and innovation.

From 2010-2015 she chaired the Mechanical Engineering College at the Professional Association of Engineers of Mozambique. She also served as a commissioner and board member at Mozambique’s power sector regulator, the National Electricity Council (CNELEC) from 2002-2006

Earlier in her EDM career, Fatim Arthur held a variety positions including member of the SAPP planning sub-committee, senior engineer at the central department for power generation and gas turbine operator and planning engineer at Maputo thermal coal-fired power station.

She has lectured at Mozambique’s Eduardo Mondlane University, on the subjects of renewable energy and corrosion and metal protection.

Fatima Arthur has a degree in mechanical engineering from Eduardo Mondlane University, 1985), a Masters in mechanical engineering from University of Sheffield (1993) and a PhD in Mechanical engineering from Colorado State University (2009).
