Marie is an impact finance specialist with almost 10 years of experience in the energy sector of which 6 years in the energy access market. She is dedicated to mobilising funding by structuring projects with DFIs, impact investors and commercial lenders to support the development of distributed renewable energy (DRE) solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Marie supervises the funding team of Engie Energy Access (EEA), a leading mini-grid and off-grid, pay-as-you-go (PAYGo) solar energy solutions company, that serves almost 2 million customers in 9 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Marie has a profound knowledge of the economics of the DRE market and a proven expertise in risks mitigation, credit enhancements and blended finance instruments.

Marie joined Engie Energy Access in 2017 and before that she was Credit Risk manager of Engie Europe. Prior to this, she developed an extended experience in equity market working as financial analyst for Dow-Jones and Thomson Reuters.
