Mershil’s role involve overseeing regulatory compliance, board secretarial activities, legal advisory services, risk analysis and mitigation. He was closely involved in the incorporation of TGDC in 2013 and its commencement of business in 2014.

Prior to his current position, Mershil worked at Tanzania Electricity Supply Company Limited (Tanesco). He is the graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam and the Law School of Tanzania. He is the advocate of the high courts of Tanzania mainland and a member of both Tanganyika and East African Law Societies.

Mershil is a panellist at the fourth annual Africa Investment Exchange: Power & Renewables meeting, which will be held in London on 15-16 November.
