Prior to establishing eegr, Mohamed held executive job roles at several companies, including BG Egypt, BP Egypt and Union Fenosa/Gas Natural. Over the last 20 years he has also acted as senior advisor to major oil and gas players and the Qatari government.
His professional interests focus on upstream concession and development lease agreements, energy efficiency, gas and oil sales and purchase agreements, LNG trading, power generation and gas field development.
Mohamed has also conducted several energy marketing studies, including macro and micro economic analysis and has comprehensive experience related to energy market regulations and the negotiation and administration of IOC and government agreements. He also spent two years with a partner from Germany analyzing the potential application of solar energy for the Egyptian market.
