Motsei is client coordinator for the oil & gas clients within the corporate and investment banking division. She is also responsible for sector analyses and business development in the South African oil & gas sector, across the whole value chain.

Her main responsibilities include sector strategy and oversight on clients for their advisory, risk management, cash management and lending needs in South Africa. She has 11 years corporate and investment banking experience, 8 of which have been in the energy sector. Her experience includes areas of policy, debt financing, equity raising and partnerships.

Selected transaction experience include: Advised a BEE consortium on the acquisition of Chevron South Africa and Chevron Botswana (via Glencore); Debt financing transaction of R3 bn to an International Oil Company in South Africa; Participated on various transactions which included offering working capital facilities to oil & gas clients.

Motsei holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honor’s degree in Economics from Rhodes University and is currently completing a Masters of Management in Energy Leadership from the University of Witwatersrand.
